He is a past president and an active member of Memphis/Shelby County Veterinary Medical Association. He is also an active member of the Tennessee Veterinary Medical Association and American Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Batey joined the practice in 1980. In 1995 he was voted Veterinarian of the Year by the Memphis/Shelby County Veterinary Medical Association. He has 4 Golden Retrievers Bernie, Baron, Millie, and Dudley. He also has 2 cats, Mac and Murphy.Shellie Antey, DVMDr. Antey earned her BS and received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Purdue in 2000 and joined the practice that same year. She is an active member and served as a board member of the Memphis/Shelby County Veterinary Medical Association. She is also an active member of the Tennessee Veterinary Medical Association and American Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Antey has 4 dogs, Indy Baylis, Ace, and Daisy. She also has 2 cats, Bernie and Fannie.
Dr. Karen Gant, DVM
Dr. Gant graduated from Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1997. She is a member of the AVMA, AAFP, is a certified feline friendly veterinarian and is certified in animal aromatherapy. She is a past board member of The Carl Perkins Center for the prevention of child abuse and a previous volunteer with Fayette Cares, a center for domestic violence. She has 4 cats, 2 dogs, and 2 wonderful sons.
